AuthorI have been dancing since I was born! As a young girl, I informally trained in ballet, jazz, and tap. As I attended more dancing schools/classes, I became intrigued by modern dance and hip-hop. The sensational tap dance phenomenon 42nd Street was a New York and Massachusetts-staffed show I performed in locally when I was 17. At a local college on the North Shore, I served as the Head Coach for the hip-hop dance team, choreographing performances for basketball games and traveled to in-state competitions. Latin music had always been a closet passion of mine, so when the opportunity arose to work for Fred Astaire Dance Studios, I threw on my Latin heels and trained in NY, NY, performing in MA and CT with my professional partner (before and after teaching dance lessons full time during the week). I love all ballroom dances, but American rhythm is my favorite to perform! |
